The Unspeakable Horror of "Government Run" Anything

I am, like any good conservative, against anything that is “Government Run,” except, God be praised, for our military, for which I am more than willing to levy mighty taxes on everyone. Tax me nothing, except what you need for guns, bombs, warships, police and planes, I say. For some reason, when it comes to War, I trust the government implicitly.

In fact, I am so against anything that is government run I feel it is my patriotic duty to do away with everything the government runs. Highways? No more highways, I say. Let the corporations build our highways and make a handsome profit from those who wish to drive on them. Schools? Away with them. Who needs government run schools? Leftist training camps, the lot of them. They just infect our children with namby-pamby liberalism anyway. Let the corporations build and run the schools, and train children’s minds to work and profit. Isn’t that the main goal of American education anyway? Yes, I trust corporations completely. They always do what is right for America.

And what of those "Government-Run" National Parks and Public Lands? Who needs them? Think of all that land just going to waste! Get the government off of my public lands, I say, and sell them off to the highest bidder. I’m sure people would pay three times the money they do now to see the Grand Canyon. And think of how many more hotels and strip malls and Mc Donalds we could build on the rim.

Oh yes, get the Marxist eco-terrorists hands off of our national parks and let the market decide!!! In fact, if we could only get the government out of everything except war, why then we would really have something, wouldn’t we? A more potent and powerful military, and every square inch of America run exclusively for maximum profit. Now that is something I can really get behind.
